I've been having some issues with my daily driver and because I have a 3 kids with one being an infant I really needed to have a at least 1 reliable driver.
I ended up buying a Tacoma or nickednamed Taco. Funny thing I bought it on Tuesday so I had to say #TacoTuesday. 😂
The color is called quicksand. Some will call it tan or beige. I will call it tactical FDE (Flat Dark Earth) so it sounds cooler. I wanted white but to find a shortbed double cab offroad 4x4 manual transmission (say that in a single breath) was impossible. In actuality it was the ONLY stick shift model in the entire state in that color! Northern California had plenty but many had tech packages with the moonroof. I didn't want one because it cuts down on the headroom of the truck. My gripe is the seats have zero adjustments.
Overall it's a nice truck though. Getting the rare manual was a great idea. I followed the advice of Car and Driver: http://blog.caranddriver.com/how-wed-spec-it-2016-toyota-tacoma/
120 miles so far and I love it.
stay tuned on my youtube channel for a video review of it.
I'm a car geek and always looking to fix up my rides but on a budget. I could never find the info I needed so I decided to Blog then later do YouTube videos. Being a father of 3 I have to be mindful with the toys I want and the toys my kids want. Join me for information about my stuff and thoughts about making them nicer. I've introduced my kids when I can as my helpers. www.youtube.com/RobDaman Instagram: @_robdaman
