TRD Bro became more PRO!!! Hard Shell Taco is finally LIFTED!!!

I picked up a 2015 TRD Pro suspension for a great deal from a Toyota deal. Part # PTR13-35150

I installed this last President's Day weekend. Because of plans with Chinese New Year and needing to have the Taco ready by Monday I had no choice to do most of my work at night. It wasn't as easy but I got it done. The hardest part was the AAL (Add A Leafs). I explained it in my latest youtube video:

The instructions below are for a 2015 Pro but it's exactly the same for the 3rd gen Tacos too however the cam bolts for the 2016+ are 22mm NOT 19mm! And of course works on all 2nd gen Tacos.

You really want a 22mm handy!!!





The ride is a little firmer on the street but soaks up bumps and especially dips VERY well. For spending under $1000 with front shocks + springs , rear reso shocks , AAL and alignment...I'll say it's an awesome deal!!!!

Who's tougher? Taco or T-rex???

I had to do some work out in Palm Springs so I had to stop by to see this giant dinosaur and see who's tougher.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! Acura MDX recall?

I just received a letter about our previously owned 2016 Acura MDX and possible transmission/engine issues.

You may have seen my video complaining about the issues of the suv slipping out of drive and into neutral.  If you haven't here it is:

You can see others had this issue too.


Now there's a chance you may have to get a whole new engine!  The Honda motor isn't the issue here guys. It's the ZF9 transmission!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I won't get a new Honda/Acura. I'll stick with Toyota/Lexus from this point forward unless someone wants to donate a NSX. Haha

Who's excited for new trucks in 2019?

Well the Ford Ranger got announced and it's getting really hyped up.

It sure is tough being sick and thinking about these things but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Lake Arrowhead trip in the Taco

Last weekend before New Years my wife wanted the family to go to the mountains so the kids can see snow... WELL first of all she told me it was Big Bear so we prepared for colder temps.

Look at how much we packed for a single overnight stay. It took me a while to pack it and get it to fit everything. Having 3 kids and a wife in the Taco is a little tight but fortunately I'm the only tall one for now.

After doing my wonderful pack job. I asked my wife for the Big Bear address...Well it was Lake Arrowhead instead!

Also going up at 9am it was sunny and 70 degrees! 😆

Well I dropped her off and Joanna (the baby) and took my boys to some adventures.  It was a little sketchy but for a noob offroader like myself but I handled it.

Hey everybody!

I wanted to say Happy New Year!

2017 was good for me for both my vlogging / diy stuff as well as my family. I'm looking forward to 2018.

I didn't reach my 12 videos for 12 days of Christmas but I got 10 in. I have 2 vids coming up shortly.

We had some fun at Lake Arrowhead and didn't hurt ourselves or the Taco.

I've been trying to get a few videos out before year end.

It's been hectic with the kids and work to get my vids out. Even a 3 minute video takes me a couple hours to edit at a time. I'm trying to get out some quality content when possible.

I've gotten 8 videos out this month and 5 of them have been consecutive. My goal is to get out at least 4 more this month.

I truly appreciate all the positive feedback I've gotten on TacomaWorld, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit and Facebook.

Also I've met some of guys locally and it's been a pleasure.

New addition to the family!!!

Not another baby but another car. Haha.

I dumped the junk 2016 Acura MDX for a new 2017 Lexus RX350. The quality difference is amazing even though the pricing is similar!

Honda has been using the ZF 9 speed transmission in several cars and it's truly crap and dangerous! My rant video about it here:

Anyhow it's great to have a Toyota product. I'm coining their old phrase ... "Oh what a feeling!!!"

Here's a C-HR I've had as a loaner while the Taco was getting repairs. That video will come soon!

Nice Rack!!! Prinsu time!

I finally received my roof rack from CBI a few days ago and got it installed.

I had no time during the day to do it so especially with Daylight Savings killing my afternoon light so I did what any modder would do... handle it!

I think it came out great and no accidents! Whew!!!

More Netgear Arlo testing... Solar Panel and a Pro2 !!!

I just set up a Wasserstein Solar Panel almost 2 weeks ago. So far it's doing great! I'll have an update to it shorty. I've read the Netgear version has been a failure.
